Chris Henry Coffey (born May 1, 1971 in Green Bay, Wisconsin) is an American-born actor, best known for his role in the 2011 David Schwimmer-directed film Trust,〔(Trust by Roger Ebert. )〕 also starring Clive Owen, Catherine Keener and Viola Davis. Coffey was praised for his "tour-de-force performance... giving a shockingly convincing performance that is equally perverse and plausible".〔(Toronto International Film Festival: Trust. )〕 Roger Ebert also singled Coffey out in his legendary ("Best films of 2011" compilation. ) April 2012: Coffey starred in the short film (BFF ), which premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival and was written and directed by Neil LaBute. January 2014: Coffey made his Broadway debut in the play Bronx Bombers, as Joe DiMaggio at the Circle in the Square after originating the role Off-Broadway at Primary Stages in 2013. ==Career== A 1999 graduate of the Yale School of Drama, Coffey has been seen on some of the most respected stages across the country, originating roles in Richard Nelson’s "Frank's Home" directed by Robert Falls (Playwrights Horizons, NYC, Goodman Theater, Chicago, IL), Richard Nelson's ''How Shakespeare Won the West'' (Huntington Theater, Boston, MA) and working alongside Arthur Miller in his penultimate play, ''Resurrection Blues'', directed by Mark Lamos (Old Globe Theater, San Diego, CA)..
